Details
Savana is a local artist in DFW with a talent in acrylic paints, but she also loves to experiment with other mediums. She first started in high school just painting for fun, but over the years she gained a lot of traction posting her work on social media. When she finally started selling her art, she wanted to be official, so she went online and generated the free logo you see below.
It got the job done for a while, but now she's ready to take things to the next level. She was very open-minded and didn't really know what direction she wanted to go. Knowing her style, I thought a hand-made logo would fit her perfectly. I started by having her write her company name down a bunch of times.
This is just a sample of many more pages of her handwritten logos. Once we were happy with multiple versions, I scanned the pages into my computer and vectorized them.
After everything was digitized, I took the best pieces from different attempts and composited them together into what would be the final logo.
After some iteration and final touches, here is the final product! And as a bonus, we noticed that the double V's looked liked eyes, so we added a little smiley right under to make a face to add some personality to the brand.
And for some added practical context, here is a mockup on the logo on a mug!
